Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research - Chennai favorite

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed University) previously known as SRMC & RI (DU), ranked among the top health sciences universities in India, had its origin as Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute which was established by Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health Trust in the year 1985 as a private not-for-profit self-financing institution and dedicated to serve the society as a centre of excellence with emphasis on medical education, research and health care.

The Trust achieved the task of establishing the Institution as a “Centre of Excellence” under the leadership of Late Shri. N.P.V.Ramasamy Udayar who was the Founder & Managing Trustee of the Trust and also the first Chancellor of the Deemed University. Shri.V.R.Venkataachalam is currently the Chancellor of the Deemed University and is also the Managing Trustee of the Trust. Shri R.V. Sengutuvan is the Pro Chancellor of the Deemed University.

Sri Ramachandra University MBBS & BDS Admission 2021:

Sri Ramachandra University offers MBBS and BDS courses at the undergraduate level. 10+2 with PCB/ Botany or Zoology is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. In order to seek admission, the candidate needs to appear for NEET UG entrance examination conducted by CBSE. Application for NEET UG can be made through its official website.

Sri Ramachandra University MD, MS, MDS, DM & M.Ch Admission 2021:

At postgraduate level, the university offers MD, MS, M.Ch, DM and MDS courses in various specializations. MBBS degree is mandatory for MD and MS courses while BDS is sufficient for MDS program.

A valid score in NEET PG is required for MD and MS courses while NEET MDS and NEET SS score is required respectively for MDS and DM & M.Ch courses.

Sri Ramachandra University B.Sc (Nursing) & M.Sc (Nursing) Admission 2021:

The university also offers B.Sc (Nursing) along with B.Sc (PB) Nursing at UG level and M.Sc (Nursing) at the PG level. Admission is offered on the basis of marks scored in Entrance Test conducted by the university. 10+2 with PCB/ Botany/ Zoology is the minimum eligibility criteria for B.Sc (Nursing) while for B.Sc (PB) Nursing, Diploma in Nursing is required. B.Sc (Nursing) or PB (Nursing) is required for M.Sc (Nursing).

Sri Ramachandra University B.Pharm, M.Pharm & Pharm.D Admission 2021

Sri Ramachandra University offers Pharmacy courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research level. 10+2 with Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology or Zoology or Botany is the minimum eligibility criteria for B.Pharm. Pharm.D. program requires 10+2 with PCM or PCB  or Pharm. D. degree. M.Pharm and Pharm.D. (PB) require B.Pharm degree from a recognized university. Admission is based on an entrance test conducted by the university
