Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences - [SIMATS], CHENNAI was established in 2005. The Institute is deemed to be university. The Saveetha University ranked 49 by NIRF 2021.

Decentralization with active management participation in our institution is best exemplified in SIMATS. The organizational hierarchy incorporated into the University’s framework comprises of the Vice Chancellor and Director heading the university and superintending the Registrar and Dean. The Registrar of the University heads a team with Deputy Registrar and Joint Registrar. The Director and Registrar supervise the Deans of all the institutions. Individual institutions have Associate Deans and two heads for every department (Administrative and Academic). The Associate Deans report to the Director and the Dean regarding their designated affairs and head a team of Assistant Deans . The Heads of each Department are in charge of their team of teaching and non-teaching faculty.

Saveetha University B.Tech Admission 2021:

At undergraduate level, Saveetha University offers BE/B.Tech and BE/B.Tech (Lateral) courses to the students who want to pursue their career in the field of engineering. The duration period for the courses are 4 years and 3 years respectively.

In order to seek admission in the above mentioned courses, the eligible candidates need to appear in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) or Common Entrance Test conducted by the Anna University.

Eligibility Criteria:

B.Tech

Marks obtained in the higher secondary (10+2) examination or Should have passed the higher secondary examination of Vocational stream (Vocational groups in Engineering/ Technology) as prescribed by the Govt. of Tamilnadu through the Single Window Counseling allotted by Anna University through Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) -Cut off marks is 200 (100 for Mathematics and 100 for Physics + Chemistry)

Saveetha University MBBS, BDS and BAMS Admission 2021:

At UG level, Saveetha University also offers medical courses like MBBS and BDS. Duration of MBBS is 4.5 years (+1 year for internship), whereas of BDS is 4 years. In the field of Ayurveda, the university also provides BAMS to the eligible students.

Admission in MBBS and BDS is based on the marks scored in the national level entrance exam called NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), which is conducted by CBSE. Application for NEET can be made in its official website

In order to seek admission in BAMS, candidates must have studied and passed 10+2 level or equivalent in relevant discipline.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate should have completed the two years intermediate, HSC or equivalent course thereof, with science subjects viz. English, Physics, Chemistry and biology from a recognized Indian University or Pre-University.

Saveetha University M.Tech Admission 2021:

At postgraduate level, the university offers Master of Engineering (M.E.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech) for a duration period of two years. It also offers Integrated ME/M.Tech for 6 years.

To get admission, students must hold B.Tech or B.E. degree in relevant discipline. The final selection is done on the basis of entrance (TANCET / CET) marks conducted by the Anna University & Consortium of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamilnadu.

Students with a valid GATE score can apply for direct admission. Selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in GATE.

Saveetha University M.Sc and MBA Admission 2021:

At postgraduate level, courses like MBA, M.Sc (Faculty of Medicine) and Integrated M.Sc (Medical with Ph.D) are also offered to the students who want to pursue their career in administration and medical science. The duration period for MBA is 2 years, and for M.Sc and Integrated M.Sc are 3 years. Duration period for M.Sc in Nursing is 1 year.

To get admission in MBA, eligible candidates need to appear in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) or Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Anna University.
