D. Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology, Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur is established in the year 1984 under the visionary leadership of Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil, Former Governor of Tripura, Bihar and West Bengal. UGC, New Delhi and Shivaji University, Kolhapur has conferred Autonomous status to the Institute in 2020. 

The Institution is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Institute is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore with ‘A’ grade (CGPA- 3.08). Four of the UG programmes viz., B.E. (Civil Engineering), B.E. (Computer Science and Engineering), B.E. (Electronics Engineering) and B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) were accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi for a period of three years from March 2012 to February 2015. The Institute is offering quality technical education for the past 37 years. The Institute offers eight UG programmes and two PG programmes.

      • Eligibility Criteria for various types of candidature for Admission:
        • (Maharashtra State Candidates,
        • Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidates,

  1. The candidate should be an Indian National;
  2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2021 and should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2021 conducted by the Competent Authority;

  • Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward class categories Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only)
